Curriculum

In Ontario, as with many jurisdictions, the formal curriculum addresses food, gardening, composting and environmental education in many different strands, and there's a need for comprehensive, easy-to-use lesson plans related to school gardening.

We are excited to be developing lesson plans and curriculum resources based on our hands-on work as an organization and as part of the Garden and Food Curriculum Working Group with other organizations in the school food garden movement. The Garden and Food Curriculum Working Group has been meeting since the beginning of 2008 to share ideas. Please check back for more information.

So far, we have begun to upload a sampling of lesson plans and teaching resources here.
